Premium quality limited edition five colour screenprint on BLACK Canson fine art paper (archival 250gsm). This series of artworks is based on Novak’s interpretation of the ground breaking British pop artist Richard Hamilton description of pop art as being “‘transient, glamorous, expendable, sexy, and popular”. Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia is a super celebrity in what Novak calls the “hyper inflated world of American stardom” and the artist is interested in combining his love of pop and street art while exploring the idea of escapism through science fiction. Princess 1.1 is the largest of the New Blood Pop series and is in a smaller edition than the other prints.
