Antoine Caron (fl.1520-1598) was a master glassmaker, famed in his lifetime for stained glass windows of exceptional beauty and craftsmanship. Between 1540 and 1550, Caron worked at the Fontainbleu Palace, where his work earned him the position of Court painter to the French kings Henri III and Henri IV. He also worked for the Medici family, and many of his designs were used for tapestries woven at the great Gobelins workshop.
