Douglas Ferris

Contemporary Maori artist Douglas (Doug) Ferris was born in Hastings, New Zealand and belongs to the Maori tribe Ngati Porou. He grew up enjoying drawing and painting and holds a bachelor of fine arts degree. Ferris has a passion for drawing, his meticulous Maori portraits and maori art pictures are influenced by his careful study of painters such as Cezanne.
