Patrick Joseph Hogan (1805 - 1878) worked as "Director" of a drawing class at the Mechanics Institute in Auckland, also as a surveyor and by 1853 was listed in Parnell as an artist. Hogan's famous set of four prints of Auckland were originally published in 1852. The Hogan views of Auckland were among the first prints re-issued by Avon Fine Prints and we found a couple of sets in perfect condition when we shifted stock in our warehouse recently.
