Marcus King

New Zealand poster designer Marcus King (1891 - 1983) studied landscape painting at Elam, taught at Wellington Technical Institute and was a regular exhibiter at the Wellington Academy of Fine Arts. His pictorial advertising posters for the New Zealand Tourism and Publicity Department completed during the 1930s are some of the finest "vintage poster" designs produced in New Zealand and important milestones in graphic design.
