Northland artist Carolyn Morgan completed four years study with oils under Aroha Paora. Carolyn is also a leadlight artist and night class teaher at Kamo High School, Whangarei. Carolyn expresses her theme of Kiwiana with larger than life images portrayed in colourful settings. Humour, joy, harmony and diversity feature strongly in her paintings. Carolyn Morgan’s artwork incorporates heavy lines reflecting her experience as a leadlight artist and she includes images that all New Zealanders can relate to - pipi bags, paua, kiwi, kakapo, red hot peppers and busy bees.
