Ira Moskowitz

Ira Moskowitz was born in Poland and went with his family to Czechoslovakia in 1914, being educated there until the family moved to New York in 1927. Prior to World War II, Moskowitz travelled in Europe; the works he studied led to his collaboration in the 4-volume work Great Drawings of All Time, published in 1954. In 1939, he first visited Mexico, where he later lived for many years. From 1962 onwards, he divided his time between Paris and New York.
