Souzie Speerstra

We recently found a beautiful screenprint called "Sea Salt" by Auckland painter Souzie Speerstra that had completely sold out, it’s listed here now. Souzie entered Auckland School of Art (ASA) at the tender age of 11 in an environment encouraging confidence and technical ability laid the foundation of her later artistic development. Souzie has travelled throughout New Zealand gaining a strong appreciation of and love of the country's indigenous bush, forests,land and particularly the seascapes that surround New Zealand. Speerstra's preferred mediums are gouache, chalk, oil pastel and her favourite - Acrylic. Souzie likes the way that the colour and texture of acrylic enables a wide scope in artistic expression.
