Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 - 1901) is a famous French painter and poster maker from the Art Nouveau period. His most well-known posters depict Parisian nightlife of the Montmartre quarter in Paris, and his posters advertising famous cabaret clubs like the Moulin Rouge are among the most popular prints in the category we know today as vintage posters. There has got to be an irony that Art Nouveau (French for new art) is now referred to as vintage! (in a similar way the term modern now doesn't always refer to art that is "contemporary" but to a distinct historical period). NZ Fine Prints are specialists in vintage posters and prints so we stock a good range of Toulouse-Lautrec's vintage style prints and posters imported from the US and Europe as part of NZ's largest selection of vintage posters.
