From the “Bird Riders” series by illustrator and artist Debbie Tipuna. These artworks feature native New Zealand birds (in this case the Piwakawaka or “Fantail”) being ridden through the sky by small human like figures, Maori fairies flying through the skies of Aotearoa. The flowers of the Hoheria also feature in this print. Please note that the dimensions of the print “Piwakawaka Hoheria” include some white space around the central image as some of artwork extends outside of the unevenly shaped“frame”.
