This very large print is the only giclee print of one of Tony’s original paintings that has ever been made. Printed onto archival paper. Tony says about this painting that was completed over the 2020/2021 flowering season of our native Pohutakawa trees “I’ve always wanted to capture the magnificence of this location and after many weeks painting I believe I finally have!” Lottin Point sits atop East Cape where the land turns from an easterly facing orientation to follow a westward path all the way to Opotiki. Tony has had the good fortune to experience the unique character of this coastal paradise over many years of visiting this beautiful part of NZ’s North Island. Although farmed this part of East Cape retains bush and a coastal fringe of magnificent pohutukawa, which Tony has depicted in the full bloom of early summer – framing the westward view down to Cape Runaway.
