In this print Native New Zealand bird species like Tui,  Keruru, Fantail & Kiwi sit on branches covered in Sakura blossom in this vibrant work by Dunedin based artist Frank Gordon.

In Frank’s own words “I've visited Tokyo a number of times and have wonderful memories of Sakura blossoms. These trees were made to be painted! It’s no surprise they are so highly regarded and are seen time and time again in Japanese art. I think the blossoms compliment our beautiful New Zealand birds in a way that is a little bit oriental, mystical and reminiscent of Japanese prints.
