This romantic, moonlit scene is looking north from the Blenheim - Picton road, with a covered wagon drawn by two bullocks and the town and harbour in the background. This print is from a twentieth century re-print of Barraud's "Graphic & Descriptive" which was originally published in 1877. This attractive early view of Picton Harbour,  along with other regional NZ views has been extracted from the 1960 edition of Barraud’s “New Zealand: Graphic and Descriptive”.
