Originally published in 1888 in Sir W L Buller's History of the birds of New Zealand (second edition). The print in stock is a superb giclee print of an original plate from Buller's Birds that was scanned at an extremely high resolution. It was printed with lightfast ink that will last for decades. At the time the Kokako was referred to by Buller as the Blue Wattled Crow (Glaucopis Wilsoni) and the Orange Wattled Crow (Glaucopis cinerea), shown in the print perched on a branch of Northern Rata.
