Doubtful Sound, Fiordland National Park. Originally named _Doubtful Harbour_ in 1770 by Captain Cook, who did not enter the inlet as he was uncertain whether it was navigable under sail. Today Doubtful Sound is popular destination with more adventurous tourists visiting Fiordland.
