Smither’s most famous painting re-made by the artist in a limited edition screenprint. Superb dense colour and perfect registration (lining up of the layers of ink without error) - Michael Smither is a second generation printmaker, his father also made prints. Highly recommended. Smither says that looking up from the sea’s edge gives a sense of “the crushing weight of the boulders”, the mountain (Mt Taranaki) is the “overseer”.
