Huge print depicting this picturesque beach on the east coast of NZ’s North Island about an hour north of Auckland. Although of a specific location this artwork is about capturing the essence of NZ’s coastal environment, the intersection between the water and the beach. Working with master printers Don and Glenn from Onehunga’s Artrite screenprinting this very large print by NZ artist Matt Payne has 26 separations and 23 colours. Matt told us that Tawharanui Waves “includes a graduated sky and a graduated opaque to transparent blue on the water. So it was quite a complicated print for me first attempt, but I’m really happy with the way it turned out.” Edition now due to sell out. We have just one left, number 71/100. Update: Sold Out
