Late 2015 edition, this is the first print made in Tony’s new studio in an old villa he has recently renovated! Harotaonga is an outwardly tranquil beachside composition - beneath the surfuce though it is built on fiendishly complex layers of handmixed colours. From a screenprinting perspective it’s technically superb - but the timeconsuming handmade mechanics of creating this image don’t get in the way of the artistry. On the wall this print is a warm, appealing and oh so evocative picture of the NZ beach lifestyle that Ogle lives and works in.
