The orginal rare print is the only New Zealand view to appear in a British Parliamentary paper. We have written about the rare original print in The story of an early print of New Plymouth. It was originally lithographed by Day & Sons (lithographers to the Queen no less) in 1862, based on a painting by John Gully that is now in National Archives. Re-issued in a limited edition by Avon Fine Prints in 1968, we have a handful of prints from this later edition in stock.
