The flightless Takahe is famous for being thought extinct only to be rediscovered in a remote Fiordland valley. Contempoary NZ folk artist Ellen Giggenbach creates her colourful original artwork from which this print is made by handcutting and assembling painted papers.  Both the actual Takahe bird and this print is endangered, Ellen has called time on this image and it will not be re-printed again.  We have under 5 prints remaining before it is sold out. Sold Out!
